bruria- u DO have s/1 2 talk 2...He's always there, u just have 2 pick up ur phone & call HIM. even when ur vague, somehow HE is still there & He understands what ur saying, even when He doesnt immediately answer u back. He's a good listener- don't 4get it! |

dovening for me is harder then it should be. I dont know why i find it so difficult to set 30 mins aside to prayer each day. Small commitment to make - to whom u owe every second of life to. i know that i have the unchecked potential to stay on the phone for hours. So why is it so hard to devote time to hashem?. I feel like the ungrateful daughter of a long-suffering father. In my mind's eye i see Hashem sitting at the gate of tefillah every day-waiting for me to drop him a byline, and then when the quota comes in-he eagerly goes thru all the tefillos and slumps down into the Kisay Hakavod when he doesnt see mine. Like im the dead-beat daughter who spurns her father in King Lear. I dont know how motivate myself. |

yes brur, cuz at leat if ure davening ure one step ahead of not davening at all. and its worth that once in a while good davening ull have. (i once heard something like that on an orlofsky tape, he said it very cool though, maybe ill listen to it again and post wat he says) |

1 thing to never forget is to ask Hashem to help you daven with kavannah. Take 1 minute before davening, to speak to G-d, and tell Him all that all of you have written so far, bout how much you miss Him and you're sorry but it's just so hard to have kavannah, and how you really really wish you can just connect. And THEN daven. You'll see, it makes a mound of a difference. |

Maybe all the emphasis today on connection connection connection with other people (IM, cells, email etc.) detracts from real connection. Just something to think about. |

happygirl- my frien e-amiled me around jan time abt cells. what she said was, 2day's technology is meant 2 explain our relationship w/ Hashem...just like now that we have cells & we can call ne where ne time, so 2 w/ Hashem. wherever we are in life & wtvr time of day it is- we can call 2 our Father, to Hashem..the e-mail propopsed that e/ time the phone rings, stop 4 a second & praise Hashem, or even just acknowledge His presence...i tell u, it makes u more aware of G-d in ur e/ day surroundings...(especially after this crazy black out!) |

they used to not be able to understand the concept of "ein roaa, ozen shomaat" nbow we have it all here its way more realistic, i think the tech. just helps. if u want you can look around the world and find everything to help you with your "AVODAS HASHEM" |
